Human-Environment Interaction

Geographers in this group use qualitative and quantitative techniques to assess political ecology and to engage in contemporary debates in critical development studies, environmental governane, and envirnmental justice. Interactions between society and environment are at the core of many of the world's most pressing social, economic, and political issues at the start of the 21st Century. Current projects include water and sanitation in India, water access in South Texas, land change in Brazil, and dynamic urban and global environmental modeling.
