Dr. Will Heyman, Ph.D.

 

Dr. Heyman is an Associate Professor of Geography at Texas A&M University.  His research interests lie in conservation biology, and the relationship and interactions between humans and the environment.  Much of his work has been in the western Caribbean, especially Belize, where he studies the reproductive ecology of reef fish spawning aggregations, and their importance to local fisheries and communities.

Prior to his appointment at Texas A&M, Dr. Heyman worked at The Nature Conservancy.

Dr. Heyman earned his Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1996.
