Final grades are awarded by examining the distribution of grades at the end of the semester.

The usual grade distribution is approximately:

• 12-15% A's
• 30-35% B's & 30-35% C's
• 12-15% D's &/or F's

Description of "A" work: demonstrates a thorough understanding of the generalizations, concepts, facts, and skills related to the course.

Description of "B" work: displays a complete and accurate understanding of the generalizations, concepts, facts, and skills related to the course.

Description of "C" work: displays an average but incomplete understanding of the generalizations, concepts, facts, and skills related to the course.

Description of "D and F" work: demonstrates severe misconceptions about the generalizations, concepts, facts, and skills related to the course.
