Dr. Heyman serves on the Santuary Advisory Board of the Flower Gardens Bank, National Marine Sanctuary . The area contains some of the healthiest coral reefs in the world. (see also Antigua and Barbuda, Los Roques, St. Croix, Belize, Cayman Islands, Marine and Coastal Geography Group).
