I am interested in using an ecosystem-based approach to marine fisheries management in the Mesoamerican Reef that integrates aspects of fish ecology, oceanography, and marine geography. I essentially focus my research on life history ecology and habitat connectivity of fish species and seek to link it to fishers’ knowledge and folk fisheries space when dealing with management.
