Study Abroad Programs

The Geography Department hosts Ridges to Reefs, Study Abroad in Belize,  Study Abroad Program in Brazil and other Field Courses. Other study abroad programs available through the TAMU Study Abroad Programs Office can often count toward satisfying degree requirements in many of our disciplines. Costa Rica REU offers research experience to undergraduate students.

Field Trips

Both the Department of Geography and the Department of Geology & Geophysics offer many classes with a field trip component, ranging from exploring Utah, Colorado, and other spots in the southwest to completing lab work in a rainforest in Costa Rica. Internship Opportunities

Each department distributes information regularly to students about internship opportunities both in the U.S. and abroad. Students have completed internships in Taiwan, Russia, Korea, Panama, and many other countries around the world.
